  7.      After you exit this program and want to get back into it, type "start"
  8.      when you are in the C:\IYW10 directory.  To bypass the opening
  9.      "Welcome" screen and go directly to the Table of Contents, type
  10.      "begin" when you are in the C:\IYW10 directory.
  11.      
  12.      When you see the letter G in parenthesis (G) to the right of an item
  13.      on the Menu it indicates a graphics presentation.  When viewing a
  14.      graphics presentation you will not be able to exit until it finishes. 
  15.      Each graphic presentation is a minute or two in length.  When the
  16.      presentation is completed you will be automatically returned to the
  17.      Menu.

  19.      Improving Your Writing contains self-help ideas which can be useful to
  20.      you when applied to your writing activities.
  21.      
  22.      Some of them are simple ideas, yet important and often overlooked by
  23.      some of us, which when applied can help us change our writing for the
  24.      better.

  26.                                Use Of This Program

  28.      This program is designed for use with most IBM compatible personal
  29.      computers.  If your computer is equipped with a graphics adapter card,
  30.      you will be able to view and hear the related illustrations.  If your
  31.      computer does not have a graphics card, no problem.  You will still be
  32.      able to read the text portion.
  33.      
  34.      For your convenience there are particular features to this electronic
  35.      book which make it easy to use.  There is an electronic bookmark
  36.      feature, making it easy to return to the spot where you last left off. 
  37.      There is an electronic search feature for reference purposes to help
  38.      you easily find things.  See "Need Help?" below.

  42.      When in the text mode such as you are now, the F-1 key on your
  43.      computer keyboard is your help-key, and will provide you with a screen
  44.      which lists operating features such as changing screen colors to suit
  45.      your individual taste, turning the sound on or off, auto scrolling
  46.      down the page and other helpful things.
  47.      
  48.      The "Search Feature" is of particular help if you are looking for a
  49.      particular subject or word.  Just push the letter "S" on you computer
  50.      keyboard, type the word or phrase for which you are looking, push the
  51.      "Enter" key, and the computer will take you to the subject.
  52.      
  53.      Use the letter "S" when you want to search only the chapter you are
  54.      currently reading.  If you want to search all chapters push "G" for
  55.      Global Search.  Global will search all chapters.

  58.      What is mentioned above regarding the F-1 key help key does not apply
  59.      when you are viewing any of the illustrations selected from the table
  60.      of contents.
